Is Image That Important?

So the time has come to make a very important decision in my life. The question is to be cool or to be practical. It has been a rough road. Sometimes, I believe the answer to to be cool, for instance, if you have a great pair of shoes that look great but feel horrible and you know your feet will be in pain for days after wearing them, sometimes it's worth it.

Is this one of those situations? Well I after much deliberation, I've decided that the practical side of this situation outweighed the cool side. So yes......I am proud to say that I am an owner of a shiny, new, black.....mini van! However this is not just your average mini van, oh no, outside of the automatic sliding doors it contains: a computer system, satellite t.v., 2 DVD players, i pod (in the computer system), channel changer on the steering wheel, back up screen, like 20 cup holders, seat warmers, rear air control, back windows that roll down, and much more. I could live in this thing. By the way, it's okay to brag about a mini van, because after all, it's still a mini van. There's no getting around it.

I've never been one of those kind of people that really cares what I drive, as long as it's in good condition, fits my kids, and gets me to where I need to go then I'm happy. No matter how nice my car is, let's face it, it's going to be full of french fries, fishy crackers, and Macy's shoes and socks that she takes off the second I strap her in.

The lease on Kurts truck is up, so we had to make a decision to whether get him a new car, or let me get something with more seating, which I really needed. Even with only two kids I think three rows of seating is essential. Just this year I wasn't able to car pool with everyone I wanted to to preschool because I was the only one who didn't have enough room in my car.

The leases on these new vans in the month of April were awesome so we did it. Don't think I'm crazy, but Kurt brought home a decked out Durango for me to test drive, but I choose the mini van instead, with gas prices, I just couldn't do it. I didn't want to feel trapped in my house because I didn't want to spend the money on gas. Did I mention that mini vans have auto sliding doors? This feature alone sold me, no more freaking out when Raegan opens her door in the parking lot and nails the car next to her. No more Raegan running around the car while I put Macy in her car seat, she can just get in all by herself. No more not being able to transfer anyone else in my car. I'm excited about it, all y-all should go purchase yourselves a fancy mini van, and be not ashamed.
