Anyway, that didn't bother me nearly as bad as when Kurt and I saw the movie The Bucket List rated P.G. 13. A single mom comes in with her three kids, probably ages 4, 6, and 8 and sits directly in front of us. This is definitely not a kid show! HELLO! If your going to take your KIDS to a movie, see a KIDS movie! The Bucket List had horrible language, and adult humor, nothing I would EVER want my kids to see, not even at age 13 would I let my child go see that movie. So during the movie, that should have been funny, I was so irritated any time something inappropriate for kids would come on (which was all the time) that I could not enjoy it because I was worried about these children watching this! And a mom that PAID for her children to watch and listen to inappropriate language and behavior.
I was expressing my irritation to Kurt later that night and he said, "Well, you really can't be bothered, because if it's a show that a 3 year old shouldn't see then you shouldn't be watching it either." Give me a break. If that were the case then we would all be watching nothing but Dora and Barney. We wouldn't even be able to watch the news. I'm almost 30 and should be able to watch a P.G. 13 movie, Dancing with the Stars, and the Bachelor if I choose to.
I wish that I had the guts to tap that lady on the shoulder during the movie and ask her to take her children out because she was not only ruining the movie for me, but destroying her children's innocent little minds.
