Bling Bling!

Elena-that title's for you!.
I've been asking Raegan for awhile now if she would like to get her ears pierced. She has always told me no, until the other day she asked me if she could get her earrings now. So the next day, off to Wal-Mart we went to pierce ears. She was so excited, she wrote "the lady" that pierces ears a letter and skipped happily into the store. I told her if she didn't cry that we would go pick out some stickers. She did great and only fussed for a second. She loves her "diamonds".

Now don't think that I'm a horrible mother, but after much debating, I had Macy's ears pierced too. I know, I know, torturous. But Macy has these cute little pokey outey ears and I thought might as well make them pretty while they poke. She did cry ,and after the first ear I was regretting my decision, but we couldn't let her go with one ear done, so I held her tight as they pierced the other one. She stopped crying quickly and completely stopped all fussing once we found her a treat. We all know that the girl wants to eat when shes in pain. I'm probably not helping her cause by letting her. I'll put a stop to it. But then was not the time to change bad habits.

Raegan later was getting into the car and holding both of her ears. When I asked her why she said, "I don't want my earrings to blow away!" Also in the tub she was afraid that they might wash off and was relieved to see them safely in her ears when she was done bathing.
