Well, I'm getting my chance to photograph babies, and I've had such a fun time doing it. This is Lewis, his family is in our co-op group, it won't be long before he's running around on Friday nights with all the rest of the kids when we babysit. He was so great for pictures. Watch Out! We have a comedian in our house! You can't tell me that these jokes aren't hilarious:

"How does a pickle run on a road?"
"ON A FOREHEAD!!"

"How does a X learns to run on a head?"
"ON A COMPUKER!" (yes, I meant to write compuker, and not computer)

She just can't get enough of herself, and she gets upset if we don't laugh hysterically at these jokes.

Ryder was such a trooper getting his pictures taken today, he did so well until we stuck him in this bucket, too bad, it would have been such a cute picture! Oh well, we got some cute shots of him anyway, just not in the big bad bucket.

The Sucker Got Away!

St. Patrick's Day has never meant much in our home (okay, Macy's birthday is on St. Patrick's Day) but, as far as St. Patrick's, we never did anything besides dress in green. This year I decided to steal a friends idea, and try something new. So, the night before we made a leprechaun trap. Raegan was so into this, I had no idea that this would strike a cord with her. Her trap plans were so detailed and elaborate. I had to bring her back down to earth, and down scale her ideas immensely. So this was the revised plan she came up with: prop up a decorated box with a stick, place a plate of sticky treats (including marshmellows and gummy worms) under the box so that the leprechaun would get stuck on them, which would cause him to knock down the trap on top of himself, then he would fall asleep on a green pillow (we don't want him to be uncomfortable), and he would become our pet.
The next morning Raegan came out to see what happened and she was apprehensive to lift up the box because her pajama's didn't have any green on them, and she didn't want the leprechaun to pinch her. Once I convinced her it was okay, she lifted the box, and started tossing the green treats left and right looking for the leprechaun under all the things, as she's throwing the treats she's saying "WHERE IS HE?" She then realized that those were fun treats she was throwing out and that the leprechaun must have gotten away. Maybe she'll have better luck next year and we'll have time to put together her hanging net trap from the ceiling that's attached to a rope she can pull just at the right moment when the leprechaun gets under it.

Macy Turns 3!

Three years ago I was in the hospital with our baby Macy, and now that baby is 3 years old!!! Macy adds so much to our family, she is such a clown and loves to entertain us. She loves her sister and copies EVERYTHING Raegan says and does. If Raegan has a hurt finger then Macy has a hurt finger, if Raegan wants the red bowl, then Macy wants the red bowl. I guess you could say that Macy is Raegan's mini-me. Although, she is also chuck full of her own personality as well. I sometimes just want to squish her because I love her so much.
Some of Macy's favorite things include: Dora, princesses, dress ups, jammies, dance class, orange juice, and her "star blankey".
For her birthday this year, I had to tend the co-op kids, so my mom and I took them to Artic Circle and called it a birthday. It worked out perfect. She loved it, which is all that mattered.

Great News! This just in from Jen:

{edit add: wow! I'm so excited!! thanks for everyone who inquired. I decided to open a Tuesday class to accommodate more people and I changed the name of the workshop to I "heart" Photography...just because I thought that was WAY!!! more fun and WAY!! less stuffy... ;) I'm not sure I'm going to be able to sleep tonight my brain is racing with a million ideas for you guys!} I have a few more spots open if you are interested email me the day that works best for you.

I promise this is worth every penny. Jen is an amazing teacher and anyone who is interested should jump at this opportunity! When she started teaching me the only thing I knew was that when I pressed a button it took a picture, I've learned a ton, thanks to Jen. It's so much fun, I promise you'll love it. SIGN UP!!

56 and She's Still Got It

My darling mom's birthday was last month, and since I'm a terrible daughter I didn't post about it, but I'm making up for it now. For her birthday she asked for a mini trampoline to exercise on. Yes, she ASKED for one. Well, here she is demonstrating her new present, then realizing how goofy she must really look, and cracking everyone, including herself up. I love my mom.

This is the beginning of the collection of pictures I'll have of Macy in tutu's, although, I was extremely ticked after I took a ton (93 to be exact) of darling pictures of Macy and my computer lost them all!!!! So this is our second round, they still turned out pretty cute, but just not as cute as the first ones. Oh well, just more practice for me. Luckily I LOVE doing this!

My Biggest Loser

That's right! Kurt entered A.F.'s biggest loser competition this week and now it's up to him to drop some pounds. You'll never believe what he did to prepare for the first weigh in, he gained 13.5 pounds in a week and a half!!! On purpose!!! Just so he would have more weight to lose. Wow, now that's something to be proud of! How many people do you know can gain over 13 pounds in less then 2 weeks? That's my hubby!
I really do think that he has a chance of winning this, because in the past when he's put his mind to losing the weight it drops off him fast. It's the keeping the weight off that he struggles with. He has a hard time believing that you can't eat Oreos in a bowl with milk like cereal and still stay skinny.
The winner wins $600 and a two year gym membership, and maybe even gets to ride in the parade! (I don't really know about that last part, but it sounded cool.)

He was headed to the gym two nights ago right after he said good night to Raegan and had this conversation (I was listening at the door).
Raegan, "Dad where are you going?'
Kurt, "To the gym so that I can get skinny."
Raegan crying, "But I don't want you to get skinny, I like you just the way you are! You won't look like my daddy!"
Kurt, "I'll still look the same, I just won't have a big belly."
Raegan still crying, "But I like you big belly!"
The next morning Raegan looks at Kurt and says, "Dad, you still have a big belly."

We've got a Kyle lover on our hands.

"Go Kyle!!!"" I love you Kyle!!!"" Yay Kyle!!!""Sweet!" Those were Raegan's lines when Kurt took her to the Jazz game the other night. Apparently she was obsessed with Kyle Korver the entire night and could care less about the rest of the team. Kurt said she was a screaming maniac and was extremely hyper during the game. She came home still excited about seeing Kyle play. She described him in detail to me when I put her to bed that night, it went something like this, "Mom did you know that Kyle has brown hair, blue eyes, and a really nice smile. And he wears his socks up to his knees. And his number is 26 " She's got great taste in men.
