Snap Shot Sunday

I have enough zucchini to feed a small country. I also canned salsa this week. I'm pretty sure my entire family smelled of onions the rest of the week. It's a small price to pay.

Snap Shot Sunday

Kurt and I were in charge of his sides family reunion this year. We all met up at a sports park where we played and ate all day long. The biggest hit of the day were the rocket launchers that we borrowed. We were dragging in attention from many kids not apart of our family but wanting to be apart of the action. When I asked my girls what their favorite parts were of the day they told me face painting and rockets. I believe everyone had a good time, and I have to thank my husband for pretty much planning the whole thing.

Snap Shot Sunday/Thursday
I attended back to school night for Raegan and all the kids had colored pictures of themselves to hang in the hall above their names. This is Raegans......maybe this is wishful thinking? I'm not sure, but either way it was funny. When I asked her about it later she said, "I just used yellow on the hair because I thought it would be cute and I used blue on the eyes because my teacher said we could use brown, blue."

First Day of School 2010

The first day of school I went to pick up Raegan and the second she saw me she ran to me and started crying. When I asked her what was wrong she said, "Nothing, I just missed you so much." So of course I started questioning her, thinking that there must have been something else that had gone wrong that day but she said, "Mom! I told you! Everything was just great! I just loved everything!" We had a couple of emotional days with her when school started, but now she's great. It's hard for those first graders to get used to being gone all day.
I also have a great class to teach this year. All my kids are so dang cute, and good!! So far I have 9 students, but my guess is that more kids will sign up as we go along. I thought it would take me a few days to get back into the swing of things but now that I'm back teaching I feel like I never had a break.
