I signed the girls up for swimming lessons the first week they were out of school, I wanted them to get comfortable and learn what they could before we swam all summer long. Luckily the weather held out for us and although not everyday was warm and sunny they were still able to get the lessons in. Macy was hilarious to watch. She thought she was there to only play and hang onto her teachers. Her class played games the entire time and she loved it. I'm not sure she learned much but she is for sure more comfortable with the water then she used to be. Raegan's teacher worked her hard. I put her in level 3, the level that was suggested to me last year for her and they really pushed her. There were times I could hardly watch because my motherly instincts would kick in and I wanted to save her and tell the teacher that was too hard for my baby. But Raegan never complained and loved to go everyday, so I figured she was alright. She learned a lot, but her teacher suggested that she repeat level 3 again next year, which is great with me, hopefully she'll be more prepared next year.
This is Macy's BFF Lily, that went to school with us everyday. I feel as if Lily was one of my daughters this year. Macy had completed her first year of preschool! This year was a little crazy with her having to switch teachers a couple months in so that I could teach at the same time she was in school, but she did great and enjoyed school. She wanted to go everyday, 3 times a week wasn't enough for her. Her new teacher was Mrs. Seegmiller and Macy loved her. My classroom was next door to Macy's and I could always hear the kids in there singing and laughing, there's no doubt they were having a good time. Macy learned all her letters and most of their sounds this year. She is going to be ready to read next year in the 4 year old program.
Raegan has officially graduated from Kindergarten! Kurt thought it was a little silly to have a graduation program for kindergartners, but it was darling. They put on a program for us and I loved every minute. I even felt a little choked up as I sat there and realized that my Raegan was going to be a first grader. She has loved school this year and was always excited to go. She is such a friendly little girl and made tons of new friends. In her prayers at night she would pray that she would be able to be better friends with some of the kids she didn't know as well in her class. Her teacher was Mrs. Rigamoto, I thought she was a great teacher, she always had something fun planned for the kids and wasn't afraid to do a little more then she had to to make school fun. Raegan got all 4's on her report card, which is the best she could do, she loves to learn and was so great at doing her homework and reading her home-reader every day. She's on her way to first grade!!!
