SHE WON!!!!!!

I'm so excited!!! I entered one of Macy's pictures in the Tutu cuties contest for UV magazine a few months ago, thinking what do I have to loose? It was free, and I forgot about it until I heard from the editor that she had won 2nd place!!!! I received a gift card to Dear Lizzies and she gets to be in the May issue of the magazine!!! So fun!!! I knew she was a cutie. Here's the picture I entered, be sure to check her out in the Utah Valley magazine!! This is my blog, so I have total rights to brag about my kids on it, right?

I found this darling tree during a photo-shoot this week, I had to capture Spring.

Kurt and I spoke in sacrament meeting today, the first time in 7 years. I was surprised at how calm I felt. Prayer works.

It was my birthday this past week, we won't talk about how young I'm not. But this was Raegan's birthday present to me. It came from the heart.

Regan is a VIP!

This week Raegan had her V.I.P. day at school, she had been waiting for her turn for months. It was my job to make her a poster and come to her school and talk about Raegan. We also read a book to the class and did the tooty-ta dance.
The second I walked into her classroom, until school got out Raegan was smiling ear to ear, she did get embarrassed at first when I started talking and she buried herself in my lap while I talked, after a few minutes she warmed up and even sang her favorite Alvin and the Chipmunk song to the class, and pulled funny faces to show them how she gets Macy to laugh.
It was so much fun to be apart of something that was so important to her at school. It was obvious that Raegan is a well liked girl in school. I had little girls coming up to me in her class and asking if they could come to our house to play with Raegan, or asking for our number to invite Raegan to their houses. A boy asked me if she could ride in his moms van and he would take her home. Even after we came home a girl in her class had her mom stop by our house to pick Raegan up to play at park.
At night she prays about different kids in her class and asks to become better friends with the kids she doesn't know as well, or to be able to play with them at recess. I'm sure her prayers are answered.
A few weeks ago she came home form school and said, "Mom, during recess Emily was being mean to Ethan so I said, 'It's okay Ethan, I'm Strawberry Shortcake, I'll be your friend!', wasn't that so nice of me?" I have no idea where the whole Strawberry Shortcake thing came in, but it was still cute.

Snap Shot Sunday

I took this by accident. I went to take pictures outside and Raegan wanted to join me, right when I began adjusting my exposure Raegan said "Mom, take a picture of me taking a picture of you!" So I quickly snapped this and although it's way over exposed I like it. She's a photographer in training.

Easter Fun 2010

The Easter Bunny left tons of candy filled eggs for the girls this year. They squealed with excitement as they ran through the house gathering candy. Weeks before Easter, Raegan had written the Easter Bunny a note it says: "Dear Easter Bunny, I want you to be my friend. If you want to be my friend, you want to just sign the paper." of course he wanted to be her friend, who wouldn't?
Both girls also got a new Webkin for the computer. Raegan's is a tiger but from the moment she saw it she was convinced it was a Chihuahua. It looks nothing like a Chihuahua, but that's it name now. She said to me, "Mom, why does everyone keep saying it's a tiger when it's not?"
Easter night we had both sets of parents over for a turkey dinner, which my mom made and brought. It's a good thing she did because there wouldn't have been any time for me to cook inbetween all my accidental naps during conference. It wasn't until after I woke up that I realized I had missed half of it. What I did see was good though. Lots of talks on teaching your children, being good parents and being involved in your childrens lives no matter what.

3 Strikes and I Give Up

Macy's prayers last night:

Macy, "...please bless that we can go to the forest and feed the lions....amen."

Me, "That's not long enough, try again."

Macy, "...please bless that we can go to the forest and feed the lions lion food...amen."

Me, "Macy, you need to pray about church things, like our prophet and Coco on his mission...., try again."

Macy, "...please bless that we can go to the fair and the circus...amen."

I gave up for the night and put her to bed, I wonder if her prayers will be answered. I better be prepared.

Shampoo Criminal

I knocked over a shampoo display with my cart at Walmart last night. There was Herbal Essence everywhere. Raegan was horribly embarrassed. She said, "Oh mom, why did you have to do that?" and Macy said "Mom, you're going to get a policeman ticket!"
