Disneyland
Kurt wrote Macy's name really big in the sand, so she wrote his "Dad" even bigger.

This is our Disneyland/beach trip that we took a couple weeks ago. I had secretly saved for over a year to do this and we finally went! My parents joined us and even flew the kids there and back so they didn't have to ride in the car with Kurt and I. We even got a surprise once we got to California that my sister Haley was going to be joining us as well.
We picked up our tickets (which were purchased on e-bay), from a shady guy named Guido, we were given instructions to keep the tickets nice, not take any surveys, quickly put the tickets in our pockets after getting in the park, and the tickets had to be returned at the end of the night. So we pull into the Disney parking lot and my dad jokingly says in the car as we pass the parking director "I can't take the pressure anymore! We have illegal tickets!" But they worked!!!
The girls of course loved to walk in and see Cinderellas castle and our first ride was Small World. That's a great ride to warm up to Disneyland. Then it was off to toon town. Macy was just tall enough to ride all the big rides, so I was glad that we waited until now to go. She loved all the big rides as well.
The Disney dance parade was one of my favorite parts, both girls danced, but Macy really worked it. She even got pulled into the parade to dance with Tiger, that was a big moment for her and she still mentions it.
The next day was California Adventure. I am so amazed on how brave my girls were. Raegan's favorite ride was California Screamin' which is a massive roller-coaster, and Macy went on the Tower of Terror. Raegan did chicken out in the line of Tower of Terror and I had to take her out, but Macy still did it and she claims it was her favorite ride, that and Peter Pan. When Haley asked her if she wanted to go on it again she said, "Um, no, it was a little scary for my eyes." But still, she did it!
The last day we said good-bye to Haley and headed to the beach. Raegan and Kurt played in the waves while Macy and I hung out on the sand and collected sea shells. We also had a heck of an experience at 7-11, but it's not worth remembering, so I'm not posting it.
I really hope that we can make Disney a yearly trip, that's the way I grew up so of course I want to do it for my kids!! We had a great time.

Happy 33rd birthday to Kurt this last week!! I think it was a pretty great birthday considering he took a fun football trip with his buddies to Vegas and Arizona. He got back the day before his actual birthday. It seems like a tradition that we go to Benihanas for dinner on either of our birthdays because we can't get enough of their ginger sauce!

Snap Shot Sunday

I have enough zucchini to feed a small country. I also canned salsa this week. I'm pretty sure my entire family smelled of onions the rest of the week. It's a small price to pay.

Snap Shot Sunday

Kurt and I were in charge of his sides family reunion this year. We all met up at a sports park where we played and ate all day long. The biggest hit of the day were the rocket launchers that we borrowed. We were dragging in attention from many kids not apart of our family but wanting to be apart of the action. When I asked my girls what their favorite parts were of the day they told me face painting and rockets. I believe everyone had a good time, and I have to thank my husband for pretty much planning the whole thing.

Snap Shot Sunday/Thursday
I attended back to school night for Raegan and all the kids had colored pictures of themselves to hang in the hall above their names. This is Raegans......maybe this is wishful thinking? I'm not sure, but either way it was funny. When I asked her about it later she said, "I just used yellow on the hair because I thought it would be cute and I used blue on the eyes because my teacher said we could use brown, blue."

First Day of School 2010

The first day of school I went to pick up Raegan and the second she saw me she ran to me and started crying. When I asked her what was wrong she said, "Nothing, I just missed you so much." So of course I started questioning her, thinking that there must have been something else that had gone wrong that day but she said, "Mom! I told you! Everything was just great! I just loved everything!" We had a couple of emotional days with her when school started, but now she's great. It's hard for those first graders to get used to being gone all day.
I also have a great class to teach this year. All my kids are so dang cute, and good!! So far I have 9 students, but my guess is that more kids will sign up as we go along. I thought it would take me a few days to get back into the swing of things but now that I'm back teaching I feel like I never had a break.

Snap Shot Sunday

I know school started this week, and I do have those pictures, but I decided to post what made me laugh until I cried this week.
This is at Macys' soccer game. This little team is a riot, these boys were running around like this on the field during the game and I was rolling! This team also stopped during the game and played ring-a-round the rosies in the middle of the field. Love it!!! So much fun to watch!

Snap Shot Sunday

My brother Colton, aka Coco, came home from his mission on Wednesday. His plane flew in at midnight. Both our girls have prayed for Coco every night since he left and when I told Raegan he was coming home she couldn't sleep. Eventually she did fall asleep just in time for us to wake her up and take them to the airport to greet him with all my family.

The Hugest Slip-n-slide Ever!
Our neighbor works for a packing company and ended up with a massive amount of this plastic which he turned into a giant slip-n-slide. I think the dads had more fun on it then the kids did.
