...hopefully. For years I have been trying to get Raegan from stop sucking her thumb, and for years I have failed miserably. It hit me the other day when I saw Raegan sucking her thumb while she played Webkinz on the computer, and every time I asked her to take her thumb out of her mouth, it automatically popped back in.
We've tried rewards, we've tried punishments, nothing has worked...until now. I have been dying to take the kids to Disneyland, but we just haven't been able to yet, so now that Kurt has a job, I decided to make that Raegan's reward if she stops sucking her thumb. She has a chart with over 100 squares on it and she gets a sticker every day she doesn't suck her thumb. She is so excited about this, we've tried the chart before, but never with a reward as cool as Disneyland, there isn't a reward better then that is there?
To remind her not to suck her thumb I put a bandaid on it, and this works like a charm. She slept the entire night last night with the bandaid on, and didn't suck her thumb!!! This is a huge break through for my non-stop thumb sucking daughter.
