Movin' and a Groovin'

I swear summer didn't even get hot until July, which stinks, because it's already over! I have to admit though, with Kurt being home this entire summer we've been able to do lots of fun things, it's been great and I've enjoyed the time we've been able to spend together as a family, we even actually pulled to boat out a few times this year! Which in the past didn't happen too often since Kurt was working so many hours, but we didn't have that problem this year! Go figure! Raegan was even able to learn how to knee board all by herself! Anyway, here's a run down of our summer, I'm sad to see it go.

Schools In Session!

I think it's safe to say that I am vicariously living through my kids, Raegan started Learning Dynamics again this year, and I was just as excited and nervous for her first day of school as I was when I was back in the day. I was excited to pick out her outfit for the first day, walk her to class, talk to her teacher, and I had a hard time leaving her, because I wanted to be apart of her class just to watch her. She had no problem walking into the classroom and making herself comfortable. Her teacher is Mrs. Evans this year and I've heard great things about her so I think it's going to be a terrific year.

See You In Two!

My brother Colton, aka Coco, left on a mission to Bogota Colombia on Aug, 20th. He will be one of 4 American missionaries in Colombia!!!! ONE IN FOUR!!! The reason why there isn't any American missionaries there is because, well, it's too dangerous! Crazy! Good Luck Coco!
We were able to take him to the MTC. That's an experience that I was glad I was able to do, and hope that I won't do again, it's such a tear jerker.
Anyway, this kid so insanely popular, I have never seen so many people at a farewell, there was standing room only inside and outside of my parents house for hours after the farewell, my mom was stressed because she didn't plan enough food for the thousands of kids that showed up. But luckily good friends and neighbors kept showing up with extra treats that she didn't plan on.
Colton is my youngest brother and has been so great with my kids, they love their uncle Coco and talk about him all the time, he's one of those kind of guys that isn't too cool to sing, dance and wrestle with my girls. We are all going to miss him but are also so proud that he made the decision to serve!

Guess Who's POTTY TRAINED.....

I can hardly believe that I don't have to buy another diaper until we decide to have another baby! It's so great!

This is Macy's favorite Dora night gown. She wears it everyday, all day long. It's on backwards in this picture because I dressed her in her clothes, and within seconds she stripped to put this back on. I don't why I bother getting her dressed in the mornings.

She's also now sleeping in her big girl bed! We waited awhile to move her out of the crib because.....well.....I actually love the crib and being able to trap her inside for naps and bed time, but she started climbing out so we gave in and put her in a bed.
So much growing up has happened in the last week! Next thing I know she's going to be driving and dating! AAAAAHHH!

Tripping with the Smiths

Every year my side of the family takes a vacation together. This year we decided to keep costs down and make it simple by heading to good ol' St. George. We didn't take the kids since Kurt and I are the only ones with kids. I have to thank Kristie and Kristin for watching our kids, they are so sweet to do so without even thinking twice!
We also took the boat down with us and spent two of the days boating, both of which I forgot my camera, bug. Anyway, the guys all golfed every morning while the girls shopped, lied by the pool, and read. We all also went to Les Miserables, which was great.
All the guys are so goofy and were constantly making up games, anything for a competition. At one point they were throwing massive amounts of mud at eachother. This is a indoor volley ball game, the rules were constantly changing, this one they had to continue moving to stay in the game. We laughed our heads off watching them.

Can you see Kurts hand print on Carters chest? This is just one of the battle wounds from their games.

I swear this doesn't look like me.

There was an article in the paper about this blog that makes fun of all of us Mormon blogging moms.
Here's the link. Seriously So Blessed.

Now, I'm thinking it's funny, especially the Thankful Thursday post, but what's your opinion?
