Swensen Family pictures!

In November Kurts parents had family pictures taken, I finally borrowed the disk from them and decided to post a few. Macy was an absolute disaster after this whole experience. I was thrilled she wasn't in tears during the first few pictures.

Kurts darling parents, who I just love. Aren't they too cute!

This is all the siblings and spouses

Kurt being his usual funny self..... I actually felt as if I had three children there to take care of. I was constantly reminding him that his parents would probably like him actually smiling in the pictures and not always pulling some sort of goofy face.

The whole family!

Easy Target

I must be a easy target for taggers! This is the third time I've been tagged! Again, completely different subject from the time before, so thanks Cherish, here I go with yet another tag. These are a few of my favorite things (how come I can't say or write that without singing it like in the Sound of Music?).

Just a side note: my spell check isn't working on my blog these days, so I apologize if anything iz speelled rong....One more thing, why don't they have spell check when you leave a comment? That would be so helpful to me!

1. Mexican Food.....I can't get enough of it, I can eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I grew up going to a restraunt in Murrary named El Farols and eating their soft shell tacos, which are my favorite.

2. Of course my family, all of them, I have to list them even if this is a given. (Although, I maybe should have listed them before Mexican food.........or maybe not.)

3. Pottery Barn Kids catalog. It is adorable, and I always look through it even if I'm not in the market for re-decorating a kids room. I like to pretend I'm going to order something and pick out what I would order for my girls, a baby boy, and then another baby girl. Just for fun.

4. My home. I know that it isn't the hugest, most elaborate house, but I love it. It's ours and it's the perfect size for our family. Kurt let's me decorate any way I want, which really makes it feel like home to me. I also love and adore my neighbors and ward! I don't think that we'll be moving anytime soon.

5. Lemon Passion from Macaroni Grill is my all time favorite dessert.

6. Scrapbooking with my fellow croppers. I can honestly say that when I go scrapbooking, I don't always get much done, it's more for talking, laughing, and eating, getting out, and then comes putting cute pictures on darling papers and using fun embelishments.

7. Benihanas. It's not Mexican, but I love it.

8. Jack Johnson, Kenny Chesney, Tim Mcgraw, U2, and Chicago are on my list of favs. Growing up I was a huge New Kids on the Block fan, I even went to their concert and had a massive poster of Jordon Knight on my wall.

9. This may sound crazy, but I love doing my girls hair. I love to try to make up new styles and I love to find fun ribbons. I wish I felt the same way about my own hair (not the ribbon part). I have to admit though, that Macy is going through a mullety stage where it's hard to always make her hair look cute.

10. Coke. It's great with everything.

Chocolate Chip Tub Time.

I always wanted to have one of those kids that say funny things. I know they all do. Raegan is no exception. Here are a few of her latest comments.

While eating lunch Raegan turns and says in a very matter-of-fact tone, "I want to be a doctor when I grow up." I tell her thats great. About 10 seconds later she says, "I also want to be an octapus in the sea, you know mom, you can be anything you want when you grow up. What do you want to be you you grow up Mom? I think Macy is going to be a Grandma when she grows up."

I put Macy and Raegan in the tub the other morning and walked into the kitchen to grab something. A second later I hear Raegan yelling, "I want to get out! There's chocolate chips in the tub!" My first thought is ,Oh, Crap. Literally. I walk back into the bathroom to see, sure enough, you guessed it, it wasn't chocolate chips. Macy just sat there with an innocent look on her face. Yuck.

Raegan likes me to help her with her prayers at night but always has to say them in her own words and add her own thoughts . I wisper to her "Thank Thee for our church", she says "I thank Thee for the gospital". She also prayed that bugs wouldn't be in dreams or her bed, and that President Hinckley would be alive again.

I was trying to explain to Raegan that we have a new prophet because President Hinckley went to live in Heaven. She totally doesn't get it. She asked if heaven was on the mountain, and if we were going to get a new President Hinckley. I told her that the new prophet was going to be Thomas S. Monson. She said very excited "OHHHHH, I know Thomas S. Monson! It's the same as Thomas the train!"

Raegan had a friend over to play and at one point the two of them shut themselves in the bathroom for makeovers with Raegans play make-up. Macy comes running down the hall and says to me, "Where'd they go?" and I told her they were in the bathroom. Shes says, "Ohhhhh, they go poo poo?" Which was cute coming out of a 22 month old baby.

Tagged......again.

I was tagged forever ago by my friend Heather and haven't had a chance to post it yet. I have been tagged before but these were completely different questions. I thought it was somewhat appropriate with Valentines coming up.

What is his name? Dennis Kurt Swensen (he goes by Kurt, or Honey Buns).

How long did you date? We dated for 9 months and were engaged for 3 months. He actually started talking marriage after 3 months and freaked me out so he wasn't allowed to say the "M" word until I brought it back up 6 months later.

Who said I love you first? He did. From the day I met him he always said that even if he fell in love with a girl he would never say "I love you" until he knew the girl for at least 6 months. Two months into dating he told me he loved me. What can I say? He just couldn't resist me!!!!!

Who is smarter? In what area? Raising Children? Decorating? Scrapbooking? Or are we talking book smarts and church smarts. He's definately got me on that. I think I have A.D.D. when it comes to learning those things and Kurt actually enjoys it.

Who does the laundry? We tag team it. I'm great at getting the clothes washed, it's folding and putting them away that I stink at. We usually have a clothes folding party after the kids are asleep while watching C.S.I.
Who does the dishes? Me, I wish him.

Who sleeps on the right? He does, I want to be away from the door and anyone, or any child that comes in, in the night.

Who pays the bills? Kurty, he's also the one that makes the moola.

Who mows the lawn? I'm allergic to grass, I drain from everywhere when I try.

Who cooks dinner? Me, but Kurt whips up a fabulous breakfast on occasion.

Who drives when you are together? He does, I think it's weird to see the woman driving the guy around.

Who kissed who first? He did, on our first date which lasted from 7:00p.m. until 7:00a.m. the next morning. I know what your thinking, he didn't kiss me until closer to the 7:00am time.

Who asked out who first? He actually had his sister ask me if I would go out with him on our first date. Wimp.

Who's more stubborn? Sorry Swensens, but I'm pretty sure that if you were born a Swensen you were born stubborn. Not always in a bad way. I love and adore my hubby but I don't know anyone more stubborn than him.

How did he propose? He took me to Thanksgiving Point to walk around and enjoy the Christmas lights, that weren't there that year. But we were standing under a gazebo and he said "Doesn't it look like were in a wedding line?" I turned to look and when I turned back around he was down on his knee and asked me to marry him. I had no idea it was coming. I was jumping up and down and hugging him and he said, "So what' s the answer?" For some reason I thought me grabbing the ring and hugging him was answer enough.

As far as tagging goes............I tag anyone who read this and thought it would be fun to answer these questions themselves. I would love to hear your love stories!
